12/16/24-
We get admitted to the hospital and proceed to have SO many doctors visiting and updating us on way too many things to put here. It was a revolving door until 10:30 that night. Cooper had several labs taken, an xray and scheduled for surgery in the morning at 7:30am.
My sweet Bria decided to stay in the hospital with me. David and Addy were there with us all day as well but David had to take her home that night so she could do her finals the next day. Our sweet Sadie did her school Christmas concert without her immediate family there but had all 4 grandparents there to cheer her on and give her big hugs. This has been a whirlwind for all 6 of us, emotions are flying very high, uncertainty everywhere and I feel like we are living in a nightmare... together.
12/17/24- 2nd Surgery in less than a week
7:30am our Coop heads in for his second surgery. Sadly, he already seems to be getting use to this :(
The surgery lasted almost 3 hours. He had his port installed (we call it now his Iron Man chest), a bone marrow biopsy, a sample of his spinal fluid and he got his first round of chemo injected into his spinal fluid as well.

We still need to get the results from his bone marrow biopsy to see if there is cancer in it. This will determine if he has either lymphoma or leukemia and his treatment plan.
And now we wait some more...
We are getitng weary not knowing all the details, his treatment plan or really how drastically our life has changed. And, we are also grateful that they seem to be working as quickly as possible. Still not fast enough :(
He's in good spirits at the moment. His sweet innocent mind I don't think has fully comprehended what is happening. The rest of us are falling apart, our hearts shattered into a million pieces.
Want to know something really confusing?
Looking at your sweet boy who looks healthy just like he always has, yet he is sick. We are about to give him a lot of medicine that makes him look and feel really sick, to get him healthy.
Hoping we can be home by Christmas. Pray for us. Pray for Coop!!
Praying with intention Brittany. So beautifully written. Sorry y’all are going through this. 🙏🏻
